i have a 97 psd changed my glow plugs a few weeks ago to find the dumb a$$ that had it before me left a broken autolite in there any info on how to get it out without removing the head would be great thanks
can you grab it with some needle nose pliers, or vice grips?
gotta just take your time and work them out. Soak em with pb blaster or some fluid film. The FF will break down the carbon as you work it, and give it lubrication to get out, the PB blaster will break it loose.
i cant get on it with anything its just the element thats in there and its down in a bit i tryed turning it over with the valve cover off hoping it would blow out but no luck

You might want to try that again. But let it soak in the PB Blaster for a while first. Then maybe tap on it with a punch a little to help breake it loose. But be carefull not to knock it into the cylinder. If it starts up thats even better. Should blast that sucker right out like a bullet. O yea, if it blasts out it WILL fly like a bullet. So be careful.
You might try using a small drill bit and drilling the in center of the element to relieve some of the pressure. That all depends on how it broke in there.
I'd soak it for a few days and crank it over. She'll eventually blow out. You might want to remove the hood completely when you do this.
