I have a new addition to my dash----the check engine light has not gone off today. Now my question is this, I believe on the '02 and '03 models, you can get your codes from the digital readout that is the tripometer/odometer. I know I used it this past fall to look at alternator voltage and stuff like that just messing around. The thing is, I just can't seem to remember the procedure. Anyone here have it?
Come on Jason, do what you know you want to do. Get a AE from Clay.
All I hear is the teacher from Charlie Brown Rick.
I would LOVE to buy it but the price has gone up, and I don't have a laptop if you can believe that. My kids BOTH have Netbooks, but I don't have a dang laptop. Sad.
turn around three times to the left befroe you open the door, (Aussie models turn to the right) stick your tongue out of the side of your mouth like Michael Jordan used to do, Hop up and down on 1 foot, cuss at it, and then call IZZY (joe) he has the procedure.
All of the above may or may not be necessary depending on your year model, and the severity of the code.

I wonder if this process only works on the standard OBDII codes? I would think you might pick up the common stuff, but not the engine specific codes we typically deal with. Much like the how the cheap scanners won't read most codes on our trucks.

Seems to be running good. The light was on every time I got in the truck today. I took it out on the beltway and ran it out a little bit and the light went off. Thanks for the procedure Stewart and Mike. I will let you know what I find. It will probably be tomorrow though.
