Sorry to hear that and it sucks for that to had happened to you. I hardly ever go anywhere else, because everyone seems to try to help no matter how many threads we have discussing the W, X,Y and Z codes.
I know the feeling. When I had my Camaro, I would hang out on their forums where most of the people are knowledgeable, but air-headed. I appreciate the respect people on here have for each other (and the decency to use proper punctuation).
What a person drives often says something about them. In my snowmobile forum the guys I deal with live in Alaska and Eastern Canada and my snowmobile is designed like theirs. These people use their machines for work and long hauls. When I occasionally look at the speedy trail machine forums it is like night and day. Those guys are often immature and always trying to " one up you" .
They do have a bit of the hayseed stuck in the brain there. But a forum is made of what people want it to be. Unfortunately I have to go to other sites for off road info. Serious off road discussions for full size trucks are pretty scarce. Expedition portal has a small forum for it. But they are pretty serious about all of the stuff they discuss there for all vehicles. I 8mud is a good place, but is vvvery Toyota centered. Everywhere else seems to be Jeep.
Yeah I checked it out when I had my F-150. The main thing I noticed was that if it wasn't 4x4 it wasn't worthy of hitting a dirt driveway, a little too closed minded down there for me
i have to agree, its vey laid back and helpfull around here. like was said what you drive says alot about you..most excursion drivers are more mature. even us young ones lol
You gotta remember tho, some of those guys work on their axles more, weld more, paint more, ect, ect, and I think that they have been smelling all those chemicals and fumes all to much. This in turn changes them chemically internally, so it may not be totally their fault.
It is nice tho having a decent forum to hang out on/in.
