I went with the single unit cause it fit better and it has two speeds. I am going to use the high speed for normal funtioning and the low speed I am going to have hooked up manually to cool it at the race track while the truck is off

^ They say that the Taurus/Sables fans are good because they flow a lot of air. I've also heard of some people grabbing the dual fans off of the 98-02 Firebird/Camaros. Just chop the leads off the connector. You'll splice in your own wiring. It's a headache to rewire the factory system, IMO.

The best fan I've used so far was the sable/ tauras single 2 speed fan I think if comes out of the 90 to 94 3.0l v6. I like this fan mainly because it mounts easily to our applications. The bottom of the fan shroud has a lip which should just barely fit into existing stock mount.
As for what to pull, I always try to pull as much wire as I can. the last time I also pulled a good 30 amp relay/fuse. Not much to it. You will have to make your own brackets though.

making my own brackets doesn't scare me.... I have a buddy with a tube shark and i have a metal bending brake, mig and arc welder, and metal band saw... think the brackets will be easy enough... Thanks guys i will keep an eye on the tauras and sables for a efan for my tow rig project.!~!!
