I think I just made a couple of friends for life!
I went to Fossil today to check out a Kobelco SK 035 mini-excavator. The lady that owns it is 84 years old and runs it all the time!
She's had 3 different mechanics work on it and NOBODY has been able to fix it yet. One guy spent 1-1/2 DAYS working on it and still didn't get it fixed.......She's spent over $400 and the damn thing still wouldn't charge the batteries!
Took me an hour and a half.........Now it works!!!!!
She fed me lunch, made me coffee, and told me to stop by whenever I happen to go by their place!

That's what I call satisfaction, lunch, coffee, and a invitation to stop by when ever going by that way, yep, nice going Don, not to many of people like you that care about the problems of others and that can DO something to fix them. Thanks for helping the Lady.
So I went and made the first big purchase for the new, to me, 65.
New drums, shoes, springs, and e-brake lines for the rear and disc conversion for the front.
Now I just have to wait for it to all arive. Patience is not one of my strong suits.
Next will be to figure out what to do with the mess the PO made of the bed and the relocated gas tank.

Good job on the ladies fix, Don. Good looking lady Evan, to bad what she is stuck with. LOL!!!. Thanks Jack, the arm is feeling better. Wife changed out the tremastat and anti freeze in the Bronco today, it is so hard to just watch and not do it myself.
The bed is not too bad. The PO took a long bed and cut it down to be a short bed. Need to finish up some of the welding to make it complete.
The fuel tank was relocated to between the frame rails behind the rear axel and the tank has it's inlet on top of the frame rail. The guy then used some wood at the bolts to block up the bed so the bed could clear the tank filler neck. So the bed sits high and is not supported very well. So I either get to try and rework the tank so the filler neck goes up through the floor of the bed or......
Even if I just wanted to drop it down and run the filler threw the frame I can't because it is right at the rear spring shackel.
The easiest fix would be to just put an original tank back in the cab, but then havin the tank in the cab with me has it's own set of issues.
I may have the right fuel tank for that. I think one of the 65's had the aux tank mounted the right way. I'll take a look in the barn tomorrow and see. If ya need anything else I've got two chassis and a bunch of sheetmetal that I have to haul off before I move.
Sounds like I need to make a trip out your way.
