drivers window won't work when outside temp is high.
Just like it says. It's been 80 here in IL for the last 2 days, and my drivers side window quits working after about 10am as the day warms up. Later in the evening, when it cools down, it starts working again.
Is there something in the window motor, like the door lock actuator, that would prevent the motor from working if it gets hot.
anyone know / taken one apart?

It sounds like the window motor is slowly going out. Luckily the truck is a large one, so its not as hard as those hondas or toyotas. You can alway steal a switch from another side to plug into the drivers side wires to see if that helps or run a "loop back" wire to make the motor work (bypassing the switch).

Is it just the switch then? When the motor works, it works just the same as the passenger side. No slowing down, works in both directions, nothing to make me think its the motor. But, If I knew the problem, I wouldn't be here asking now would I.......
