Expidition Power Window
i HAVE A 99 EXPEDITION AND THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW WORKED INTERMITTINGLY FOR A FEW DAYS AND NOW NOTHING. wHEN YOU HIT THE SWITCH TO PUT IT DOWN ALL YOU HERE IS TWO QLICKS FORM WHAT SOUNDS LIKE A RELAY. (Pardon the CAPS!!!) All the other windows and locks work fine. I`ve replaced motors on my old Bronco a few years ago with no problem but I haven`t been in to this vehicle yet. Are there any i deas or words of wisdom or lessons learned any one could share???????

The clicking sound is likely the express down relay. You are just going to have to test the connection at the motor to see if it is getting power and ground when you hit the switch. A good indicator of seized motor would be a substantial dimming of the dome lamp when you activate the switch with the key on, engine off. If the dome lamp isnt dimming then you likely have an open circuit somewhere, switch, wiring, or motor.

I`m leaning torward bad motor. I havn`t checked the dimming of the lights but when the truck is idling and I hit the switch the truck bogs down a hundred rpm or so. Thanks
