What color to paint 66 hood hinges

What color were the hood hinges originally on a 66 2wd? Mine are back from the blaster and I probably should get some paint on them.

Every one I've ever seen on a resto were satin black. Some are painted gloss black but I dont think Henry used gloss paint under the hood except maybe on the engine and air cleaner. Steve

Natural as they were. You could put a dull coat clear on them or a 2K natural gray paint like the one I got from Eastwood.

Bare metal (it is how you can tell a repop from the original). Buy some Gibbs from here Roadsters.com and spray them. Protects bare metal and leaves no attracting film like WD 40.

What about (color) the tailgate straps or whatever they're called on a regular (wide) bed?

Not painted...au natural. The same straps (C4TZ994400A .. Tailgate Support-right/left is the same) fit:

1964/66 F100/250 2WD Stylesides, 1966 F100 4WD Stylesides, all 1967/79 F100/350 2WD/4WD Stylesides.
