Where's the fuse? There isn't one. Just to be sure I looked it up in the shop manual and I also traced the circuit on the wiring diagram. There isn't any fuse, circuit breaker or fusible link in the circuit. There is no overload protection on this circuit.

Thats actually great information. I found a blue w/ yellow wire running into my fuse box from the "jumble" of wires the PO rigged up.
I will try to rig a jumper this weekend and see what happens! Thanks for your help Mike, hopefully this will be over after that!

I thought the same thing till I checked, the trucks are 1977's.
1978/79's only have a horn relay if the truck has factory installed Speed Control (S/C). The horn relay mounts to the S/C amplifier under the dash.
