Flash Strategy Confusion
In the universe of Flash Strategy, is VXAP2 further down the food chain or higher up the food chain than VXCF9?
Had the flash done a few weeks ago and was assured this was the newest and best Ford had to offer.
Just trying to make sure money was spent wisely.

The AP strategies are for the '03 engines, CF is for either '04 or '05-'07, I forget which. They are both the latest for each year, though there are a few variations of the VXAP2 strategy. I have VXAP1, which was pre-inductive heating, and everything since then has been a variation of VXAP2 as far as I know.

I got this too. Mine was flashed in July 2009. Is there a new flash out there for 04 trucks. I was told the VXBC9N8 is the "FICM Killer" and I just had to replace my FICM.

The newer inductive heating strategy was released in late July or August 2009. Tuners usually use just the first five characters, VXBC9. The last two may designate the version of that strategy, I'm not sure.

I am currently waiting on my custom tunes from Innovative. I wonder if I need to have him wiat and reflash my truck or can he just use the newest stategy when he does them. I hate to pay for the tunes and then have to change strategies and then pay for new tunes.

I don't think there are any tuning differences between the BC9 versions, Eric could verify that though.
