Recently had my truck re-flashed or flashed but am unsure what strategy. The dealer is no help. There is no sticker behind the battery on the drivers side (as I was told by a friend). I am considering purchasing an SCT x3 but would not want to do so if I have the latest strategy. I have read posts on here even from Matt that the latest strategy changes the FICM or fuel module and has both dropped the mileage and made tuning more difficult and the results less than before.
I would be purchasing the SCT ONLY for an economy tune. I would be looking for the max city and highway mileage. Stock or a canned tune would be good enough for when i occasionaly tow our 6K camper but as a daily driver, MPG is most important for me.
Is there any way I can find out what strategy I am running? Are any of the handheld code readers of use for finding out?
