Make sure you try your hardest not to lock your keys in the truck,as swapping the sliding window removes one of the easy ways back into your cab.I've gotten into locked trucks plenty of times through sliding windows*,it's nearly impossible in a non-slider truck.
*Side Note-The trucks were all friend's trucks. They locked their keys in,were too worried to think clearly,so I saved the day and popped the lock, opened the windows, leaned in,grabbed the keys, all is good.
oh man, i tell you what, I have done that more times than I care to count, my sliding glass window has saved me numerous times.
Sounds like a very good reason to get rid of it then.
If someone wants in your truck bad enough, they'll find a way in.Sliding window or non Slider. The way these trucks are,i'm sure you could probably jam a few large screwdrivers or pry bars on the top of the rear window seal and into the cab and pry the window right out.
