Bed size..
Hi, I just got a quick question. Do you guys think that pick up bed is too high?. I realy like the new f-150 but I just wish that bed wasnt too high.

get the steps if you are concearned.... I want my bed a bit higher.

Nope. And it's been that high or about that high since '04.

Yeah, the bed is a little high. Worth the trade off however for the no hump floor in the back seat area.

Since I climb in to the bed on the tires I haven't noticed the newer trucks beds being too high.

I was at the dealer other day just killing some time,I looked at f-250 and f-150, I was kind of suprise to see that I could touch the f-250 bed.But I couldnt do it with f-150.I do kind of like the idea of higher bed because cargo is more secure but not realy practical.

most 1/2 ton trucks are going to a 22" deep bed. Doesn't really bother me, just more room for cargo.

The higher bed is great-allows protection for your cargo-since I have a hard cover on mine, it makes my cargo area big enough to really haul lots of stuff (tools, tree stand, dead animals). Chris

I agree, But I think Ford knows that bed is little too high, now they offer side step option.

I love that side step-the truck came with it and at first I thought I'll never use that but now I use it quite a lot. Chris

My truck doesn't have the side step. Is it available on a supercrew with a 5.5 foot bed?

No, you need to have the 6.5 box to get it.
