hey guys i was contemplating buying a muffler delete from clay but wasnt sure of any pos/neg feedback and i wasnt sure on which size would be better or sound better a 4 or 5 in?
good to hear you like it...does anyone think i can get away with the factory exhaust for a couple more months or should i just spring and get it. thanx again
Dude don't wait any longer. Just get out there and get it. I got an mbrp muffler delete and it sounds sick.

i have the perf-tow set on my tuner..by the way i love that tuner..what a difference, my truck was without the tuner for a few days and my wife refused to drive it because it was to slow!!!
on a seperate note does 12-14 mpg sound right with 22" wheels?
I get that kinda crappy mileage on my dually w/4.10 gears, you'd think with the higher gears in your Excursion you would see about 15 mpg or slightly more? If you're running anything but D2, yeah that kinda mileage is somewhat normal.
BTW, I love my truck straight piped! Will never put that muffler back on!

The sound was not overly loud....but we camp a lot and i dont want to be that guy that wakes everyone up. I'll have to wait and hear one straight piped in person before i do mine. last night was not a good estimate of whay it would sound like...it was still up on the lift, short piped (cut where CAT was) and inside the shop. if he and I were not in a hurry i would have liked to take it off the lift and drive it around the block to help me more accurately decide.
