O.K i have a P611 FRC, the dealer said that its the Fuel injector control model and that it must be changed by them because they have to program it to the vehicles transmission and eng control. IT was also going to cost my 1k. Not for nothing but its only held on by four bolts, pretty sure i can change this myself. But should i or let the dealer do it, does anyone sell this thing that is reputable source. what test can i do myself to ensure it is not caused by somethis else. I do have 13.9 volts when the truck is running from the batteries.
There are a few guys re-programming FICMs with performance enhancements. They will need your old one as a CORE charge though. Here are two links from our Tech folder.
I have one for sale in the classifieds here. it will bolt up and run no need for the reflash.
I dont know if you can call me reputable though.... I guess you would have to ask around on that one.
I got a used one off a wrecked 07 with 49,000 miles on it for $400 bucks, about 30 mins to change it out. That was over a year ago fine ever since.
I will vouch for cheezit, I have read alot of his posts that has been helpful.

been reading on all the FICM issues, the one you have for sale, does it already have the 58v mod. If so what would you like for the module. Again you said that it has already been flashed. It doesnt need to be flashed to my vehicle? if not how do you take payment?

does it already have the 58v mod, if so how much would you like for it. To be clear, i do not need to flash this to my specific truck. I do have the edge juice with attitude with digital display. Dont know if that would effect anything on the FICM. It is what allowed me to read the code, pretty handy tool.
