Hey all washing up the excursion today and found that the interior lights were not going off all of the sudden. I am thinking it has to be a door switch..the only one I was in is the driver and rear hatch so I am thinking its one of the two that has failed. The door ajar light is also staying on!
My question is where are they located? I looked around the door and could not find anything. Are they inside the door/hatch?

They are right behind the door latches in the door itself. In the rear hatch, they are right behind the latches on each side. I had the same problem. Sprayed carb cleaner to get the gunk off and then some silicone lubricant. Just a little squirt does the trick. I did all the doors just because.
