March BS Thread
Good morning everyone. Been at the wrecking yard the past two days. I found the zf5 tranny for my truck bolted to a 460. The weather held out until I finished pulling the trans. Once it was in the back of my truck it started pouring.
Morning Jeff, sounds like a great way to spend a couple of days! Waiting for things to dry out here, I need to head to the yards also. We just keep getting snow, like we're supposed to get tonight. I've had enough for one year.
I hear you Pat. It was snowing here in SLC this morning. I wound up in an accident. Fortunately no one was hurt. I was able to drive away but have to get my bumper pulled out so that I can make a right turn without rubing the bumper on the tire.
Pat, I sure understand wanting summer. We have had pretty good weather this last week. It seems to be warming up, acting like we might really get Spring weather instead of winter.
Jeff sorry to hear you had an accident. Glad no injuries. In the mornings I go to Mc Donald's & have a cup of coffee & a burrito to start my day. I know most of the people that work there. Today a group of Utah State kids came in & I had a nice talk with one of the guys. They were heading back from Spring Break in California. They wanted out of the winter for a few days.
I took a motorcycle ride to Fernley today a bit cool but not too bad.

Went to Reno today. Beautiful weather.
A couple who live across from us, (very good friends,) spend the winter in Puerto Vallarta, were coming into the airport. The gal had a small cancer on her cheek. They had come up to get it taken care of so we took her straight to a surgeon and he removed it. We hope. They will get it tested to be sure that he took enough out. We will find out the result next week.
Anyway, It was good to see them again. If the testing turns out OK, they will be heading back to PV. If not then more work will get done asap.
It took most of the day but it was not bad. Might have to drink some wine this evening.

Good Morning Nevada.
Suppose to be nice today here. Cold start though. A man that was my mentor & who believed in me when even my own parents didn't passed away & his funeral is in Hawthorne this morning & Vici & I are going. " Rest In Peace Jeff ". He owned a local gas station & I worked for him from the age of 13 until I graduated from High School. He was more a father to me than my own father. He started me on the path to an automotive career. He was a wonderful gentle but firm man. A lover of people & the great outdoors. He died at 96 years old.

Thanks Guys, It was a nice celebration of his life. It was nice to get to visit with his two sons & daughter again. I went to High School with his daughter & have had contact with her over the years. Visited with several old school friends & even some parents of kids I went to school with. Nice feed afterward. Jeff was one of two men that had the greatest impact on my life as a boy. The other was my High School shop teacher. These two men believed in me when I didn't even believe in me. Jeff was a gentle but firm man that I worked for in his gas station for 4 yeas from 13 years old until I graduated High School. He was a very spiritual man that was kind to everyone & never spoke ill of anyone. I can only wish to live the long & remembered life that he did. Today my volunteer work with children is the way I try & give back some of what Jeff & Mr Spencer gave me as a boy.
