need VIN and engine ID help
I need help determining what year my truck is
my VIN is F10YWD00544
I heard it was made in 76 but it may be a 77 model due to the date that it was made
Also my truck came with a stock 5.0 but the previous owner put in a bigger engine in it.
It is either a 390 FE engine or a 391 FT engine how can i tell which one it is? also is there a way to tell what year my engine is from?

391 FT=10 bolt holes in exhaust manifold and/or cylinder head.

Y = 360 2V
W = No such Assembly Plant Code.
D00544 = 1976.
Harold: Even if the VIN was correct, (the only thing wrong with it is the assembly plant code), the FTE VIN decoders are CRAP!
FTE's VIN decoders have all sorts of errors and omissions, so you cannot rely on them.
