That would be a REAL learning experience for sure . He told me this morning that he's pretty sure the heater control valve's not working, but the kids can't tell him for sure. He seems to think they've never seen one before, says they don't use them anymore.

Don't use them anymore? Is it one that is on the hose itself??

Yes it is vacuum controlled. '86 model. Eagles were only made ( model years ) '80 - '89. Production was actually started in '79, but there were none sold in '79. They started in '80.

Missed reading this one earlier. It is in-between the hoses from the heater core & the engine. Large bell looking thingie with a vacuum line to it.
