quick question on dash cluster
Got my 99 f150 4.6L
Has the basic cluster.... no tach. (digital odometer)
I would like to get a cluster with a tach from another f150/expedition.
Can i plug it in and away you go?
or
Do I have to get it programmed at all?
Thanks
Mark

i dont think there would be a wire for the rpm sensor there so you probably would need one of those.
other then that, it should all just plug in.
kudos on not putting a big rice tach in like some people.

bahaha rice tach!!!
well I had a 1990 f150, has the basic cluster, i got one with the tach from the wreckin yard, plugged everything in, snapped the spedo cable on, and everything worked, tach and all.
I think the wire is already there, its just there is no tach at all on the dash.
Kinda like there is a harness near my sway bar that is for fog lights that i will be puttin on soon too!

The PATS module is the cluster. The cluster will need to be programed to the vehicle and your keys.
