Help Installing cluster w/Tach in '90 F150

I have '90 F150 with out a tach. I was given an instrument cluster from '90 F150 that has a tach.

Is there wiring involved in installing the instrument cluster with the tach??

Thanks.

I am not sure about the 87-up, but do know the 80-86 is plug an play with no wiring, IF you are replacing a cluster with gauges and no tach, with a cluster that has gauges and a tach. Some of the earlier trucks had idiot lights and they won't interchange.

Try it and see, I bet it plugs right in and works.
