Hey all! I would appreciate some opinions or advice on my next move. My 6cd changer is kaput in my 2003 F-150. I would like to replace it with something that plays MP3s, not just when written on a cd, but a player that has a usb port to plug in a flash drive. I've been reading around about how Ford has an odd sized opening (not quite double DIN) so what do you suggest? I do not have a particlar aftermarket brand in mind. I just want something that works. If Ford makes something that does what I want, fine, if I have to order it from someplace online like crutchfield, fine. What fits and will do what I want? And if I do have to order something online, is crutchfield the place to go? I've never ordered audio stuff before. Many thanks for any advice! Cheers.
I guess that would be good. I guess I thought they would all allow that. Like if it's a memory card into a usb connector, those card readers have no controls.
I want the least expensive one that can do that. : ) Whatever connector it has, I can always pickup an adapter. Just want to be able to put a bunch of songs on a SD card, and plug it into the front of my car stereo, just like I plug it into my laptop. Possible right? I've never seen one but I know they have to be out there.

then you need a radio with an sd card reader.
do you want to be able to play cds too? if not then i got the perfect radio...
Yes, has to be able to play cds. Doesn't need to be a multi changer though. So where is the best place to get them? Is crutchfield fair, or overpriced? And are there aftermarket players that fit the F-150 perfectly, or only Ford product fit perfectly?
As for the double DIN buy a kit that will install a small pocket at the top or bottom of the hole, you can put it wherever you want. After you install that you have a single DIN opening.
Crutchfield has always been overpriced, Circuit City used to be the place I usually got mine or new H/U's off ebay.
