This is my bros truck. I'm just using it for mock up. In that last pic in the background you can see my porkchop with the tarp over the engine. I'm in the middle of a full body swap,428 fe engine build, and of course bumpers. I've swapped a new box on it now and the cab and clip are on the way. I have some VERY mint body stuff this truck will be in awesome shape when done. Kinda gonna miss the primer grey and all the smashes and huge dents from my last body because I wont want to beat the crap out of it,well just not right away.lol It'll eventually be a booney basher again I'm sure after doing some dumb wheeling but thats the fun part. As far as the chromos I just put the new Nitro 4340 lifetime warranty 35 spline stubs with warn premiums and forged spicer joints. I've tested them real good many times on a few pretty 'core wheeling trips even doing fronts digs going hard and no problems. Never had a problem with the 70 in the rear even when spinning the rears on dry cement. 1 ton 1350 shafts are pretty solid too.
As far as my bros truck he has a79D60 front like mine but a 14 bolt rear. This truck is on 49 iroks and its honestly too big for the stuff I've been wheeling,it wouldnt even fit in some of the trail with the low branches hangin down. I had to use it for mock up cuz i have no front clip
hey sorry this is off subject but what size tires and lift you running? wow sorry i wish i knew had to read the post before mine? what size tires and lift does the primer have?
not bad bud that's something i want to do as-well, what's next on the todo list....are ya gunna to throw some lights in there? paint "redneck pride" lol...nice work again she almost looks like shes smiling...Big-O-tin grin lol
If you look at the first sketch it shows where i'll have lights. Ill also have shackle holders on both sides thats what the vertical small boxes are in the sketch. Gotta have those to tie the hook back to bumper for 2 line/or 3 line pulls with ****** blocks to double or triple your power. I've got a set of really nice ****** blocks I keep with me all the time with a 12' recovery strap and 1/2" logger style cable choker. I somewhat recenty upgraded my charging system to a 160 amp alternator, and all 1 gauge cable for every battery terminal, winch cable, and even starter! best part about the custom built alternator is it puts out 100 amps at idle so it wont kill anything during a heavy winch pull with electric fan,and maybe even lights(and maybe some county tunes). Winches can be controlled either by standard remote off winch or by the in cab front and rear seperate switches I got from 12voltguy.com
Mine are the polished aluminum ones. These guys are great they even custom engraved a FRONT and a REAR on each switch panel for me no charge.
While I was at it I installed the biggest industrial version yellow top with the bigger reserve time capacity over the truck one, and a 1000 cca intertsate wired into a painless dual battery switch where you have the control to switch to 1 or 2 batteries in series but disconects them when ignition switch is off so one battery can never kill the other one while motor is off. Trick stuff for a truck that looks like junk in the back yard right now..

Its running 6.5" pro comp superduty springs with a 4" spring hanger drop plus a body lift. Tires are 44" tsl swampers
so roughly 13"s i was jsut wondering, cause the truck im building ig going to have 13" suspension and i have a body lift, but i can decice if wanna us it or not... i got 44s
Dont go any bigger than what i got ,mine is already a tad too big if you wanna wheel it. It takes some skill to keep it on all 4's sometimes. After all this stuff I'm doing I'm going to coilovers in the front so It will flex a little better and hopefullt help to keep it upright.
The bumper is coming along nicely. I think I like the cardboard one better though. Haha just messin'.
So does your brothers truck even have bumpers?
Kinda... He has a custom stainless roll pan for the rear and his front(which i tore off and threw beside his truck the other day)is a stock one with somw headlights fit into them to lower them and make it legal. By the time I'm done mine I'm sure he's gonna want me to not take it off...haha
o ya by the way, real nice work. its on the too do list, so with 13"s of lift your tires clear just fine and everything? so does it only have 44s in that on picture with, im guessing your stadning by it with your dog? thanks alot

I'm guessing that pic is in my gallery. No I have my bros 49s on for that one and it's a tight fit. My 44s clear nicely with my lift.
So got the mounting bracket on. I plan to finish extending the top portion to tie in to the underside as of now it comes a inch short.
I just used my original bracket so it was easy and the weld will be beveled full pens so theres no loss in strength. Its just 1/4" steel and I have no problems with that. Measured for where the winch fairlead will sit and it is almost exactly going to be centered from top to bottom which is cool because I figured it would be more near the top. Looks like I wont be able to mount liscence plate under fairlead like in my first sketch but thats ok I'll mount it on the angle iron just under bumper.
