f150 exhaust
I got kinda bored today, lookin for a quick way to make my 4.6 sound decent. ive heard them straightpiped and they sound real good, im thinkin about just cuttin the muffler right off for now and havin the exhaust stop right before the muffler, would this work or cause a loss of power or other problems?

i put a cherry bomb extreme muffler and dumped it under the cab, its sound really good, way better than straight pipes. go through a parking lot and everybody stares and ive gotten tons of compliments on how good my truck sounds

darkmage55, actually just saw your post, hows it sound like any backfiring or crackling when you rev it up/ get on it?

When its in park and i rev it up it crackles a lil bit but when im driving and let off the gas it dont crackle. I like the sound, its not too loud in park, but when u give it gas it sounds really deep. Had a friend drive by for me, and its pretty loud, esp when he opened the throttle real good. If i ever decide to change anything, ill just straight pipe it with a couple dual exhausts straight from the cats.
