By the way the reson I removed the plug from the HPOP rez was because the thing drained down and would not start a few days before and I wanted to check it to see if things were ok and they were, no draindown after that one time. And the only oil I could get my hands on at the time was mobile 5w/40 made for turbo diesel snthetic stuff at almost 10 bucks a quart. Dont know if any of this matters but I just wanted to put that info out there........

Each head holds a quart of oil, so I'm told.
Could it be when limping home then shutdown heads drained down?
Have you had to add more than 2 quarts since filling crankcase?

Just a thought.

Was thinking the same since this started. Right now I am hoping for the best an preparing for the worst. So far I think it has taken 2 quarts. looks like I might need a little more soon but I am praying I had a lot of air in the heads and other places that may take a some time to work its way out.

I did sort of the same thing. Going down the freeway pulling very hard I also started losing oil. The copper oil pressure line broke and I poured out oil until it quit running. The first chance I got I posted on here, saying just what you said and TJ assured me that no, I didn't wreak anything. The computer is designed to shut things down when its too low. He said he saw this all the time with construction PSD's, two or more gallons low. I think your just bleeding the air out. It took me awhile to get my oil level to level out.
