So...for those who dont know me...im 21. ALWAYS WORKED FOR MY OWN MONEY AND EVERYTHING I OWN. So my buddy, has a camp in maine (his parents) where we snowmobile..Whenever we have snow he makes a date to go up and ride. We were supposed to go early feb. I had the money and i was all set to go...He canceled....So he planned another one for the end of the month..i didnt really have the money (rebuilt sled 800$, tires for the truck 600 etc..) well after spending that much i dont have the money to go the end of the month..So i sold a car today out of the blue and i do have the money so i asked if im still in and he says...honestly kris...i gave you a chance, you blew it... , i am happy to be friend's with you and i will be happy to hang out with you any time but as far as snowmobiling goes, i can't see it working...Why do i have the worst friends ever? NOT TO MENTION HES NE?VER PAID FOR SO MUCH AS A DONUT WITH HIS OWN MONEY....Sorry guys..had to vent..No one here to talk to
that suks kid, well ive got a place in NH up rt89 in springfield, about 100miles from billerica, and your more than welcome to come up with me and my cusin rich,(foxracing) it sits on a major trail in nh and goes out to canada eventually. we go up there for bilkes, me my dad and my bro are major motor heads and im always up there on the weekend on the bikes when its warm. but if youve got an extra sled or if rich and our buddy rob get his sled running ive got a 600 touring sled to use, i had a nice srv540 but rich effed that up on me! slammed that bich into 2 plows. we can all go up. hell anyone in the area is invited lol ive got a 40ft camper up there, its a nice set up
Ha thanks man! I still have to get my *** in gear and get on down there to meet you guys! As far as sleds go mines all back together..Ive never been down without a sled (couldnt do it) Its jsut last time we went up his rents were with us and after a 100 mile trip we can back for lunch and we were ready to go...except he was "staying in" due to not having fuel money..but after his dad gave him 50$ oh he was back out on the trails. I have the Aim conversation..It would blow your mind. Im the type of person you could call at anytime of day and id be right there for ya..Including the FTE family. Not on mf my friends have ever noticed. You know get up at 4 am to bring fuel to your buddy who was on the side of the road and he doesnt even thank you.,,Man it sounds like im a total out cast, and thats not the case lol..Is just they all thought they were better.."Nice guys finish last"
Man Kris that blows major azz. If your free this weekend your more than welcome to go up with us to whitefield NH. Me and my buddy rob are goin up there for a charity ride (systic fibrosis* spelling) and we are staying at a guys cabin from over on PSN. The ride is in Colebrooke NH on Saturday at 10am and its 40 bucks, which includes lunch and a t-shirt and $30 to the charity. We are Leaving around 4-5 pm on Friday and going up there for friday night saturday night and leaving sunday mid day. The way it sits right at the moment we are getting two cabins for $350 and splitting the cost equally, but this may change to one cabin depending on whether the guy Ron allows pets or not. As of now there about 10 of us going up and there is usually a great turn out at the event, a hundred or so others. If you want more info on it PM me and i'll shoot you my number and you can give me a call with any questions. Hell I'll pm you my number any ways just incase you've got some other questions about anything else.
I know what your saying about always bein there when ever a friend calls, no matter the time or the place its drop what your doing and go to help a FRIEND out, whether it be fixin a car, towin you home or just lendin you some cash. Sometimes you get a thanks sometimes you don't, but to me thats not why I do it. I do it just so hopefully next time I need a hand someone will be there for me, and thankfully I've got a pretty good group of friends and family that will do the same if they can. And your right its always the nice guy that finishes last, but it is also the nice guys out there that were there for the azzholes to help get them to the top.
Tell your "Friend" Thank You! He did you a favor, sooner or later he would have bailed on you when you needed him most. The term is: Fair Weather Friend
what an ******. another reason that i haven't finish my F-150(other than loss of motivation on the project) is that i'm now all of a sudden helping all my friends with loads of projects that they decided to set in on. I HOPE that when i do decide to hit the F-150 project again that they come out to help drop the engine, tranny, tcase, and gas tank in it.. haha. i'm sure i can count on at least 3 of my buddies to help me get it done. In my mind actual friends can seldom be counted on 1 hand, but i'm lucky to KNOW i can count them on 2 hands, but if you count out my brother and my stepdad then i'm down to probably 1 hand again. lol. i am fortunate to know which friends i can count on whenever i need them though and the ones to not even call when i'm in a bind. good friends are far and few between so when it comes to my friends i make sure to help them any way i can b/c i KNOW i will need them sometime and they have come through for me in the past. i'm sorry that this has happened to you Kris, but at least now you know not to count on him for much. it just sucks for it to be that way though.
man, you sound alot like me, always bending over backwards for people wihtout ever asking for a thing but the one time you need a favor returned its POW, right in the kisser
Im always the one doing for others..Not that i expect a thank you or anything..but another example, I had a donar 91 mustang notch back 5.0, 5 speed etc...Well a couple buddys needed some things (i paid 500 for the car) so i let them take what they needed. One friend took motor, tranny, pedals, rear end. So then I tore down my 89 mustang for a couple more thins and offered my motor up to my friends...Same friend that took the other motor and tranny and such said he wanted this motor too...so i dorve 45 mins to his house to deliver it. About two days went by and i forgot i needed the timing cover off that motor for my new one. So i called him and said hey man i forgot all about that cover can i come grab it? and i got "well i wasnt really planning on giving it up" So im off to buy a new one! Although thanks to this site i posted a thread looking for one and i have a memeber offer me one if i paid shipping!!! How awesome is that!
i actually enjoy working on others people's stuff, whether its a car, truck, boat, tractor, house, roof, plumbing....... it doesnt matter, i get a kick out of it and enjoy it. i am always over friend's houses working on their stuff. i put my projects on hold all the time to help others. i very rarely ask for help. i am a hard headed fool when it comes to asking for help and i know it, but i still dont ask for help. if i stop and ask someone for help its because i am in a serious bind and have no possible other choice. its only then that i get mad when everyone else cant be bothered to give me an hour or 2 of their busy schedules.
what a jackazz dude.... I would have been rip chit and been like I just GAVE you two dam motors and your cuz screw me on a timing cover the I gave to you.. I dont think so. lol I'm glad that you found another one for basically free and that is why hahaha.
I hate to jump in but i feel the same way too. Im 18 and in college and some of these guys i hang out with dont ever wanna drive their vehicles cuz they dont got gas money cuz daddy hasn't put money in their account or they spent it on the latest pair of vans shoes. I feel where you guys are coming from. But hey look at it this way. People respect you guys for buying your own and earning your own. I sure do. The person i respect the most is my dad for making me look at life this way. He wasn't ever going to buy me my first car or anything like that. I did all that by myself and im still doing it. Paying college and PMSing all over the place. not the girly one. the truck one. haha and thats why i hang out here. you guys are all in the same boat so its nice to be able to come here and ask questions and just talk to guys who earn their way.
ehh Joe you didn't look that old in your FB picture... lol And plus you own a bad azz PSD so that knocks off atleast 10 years, and the older you and the truck get the more age it knocks of haha
RIGHT ON!!!!!!! This sounds like a story, but its the truth....One of my girls friends got a 2008 top of the line benz..it was like a kompressor or somethig...she was 18 at the time...Mommy and daddy bought it. Well they were in high school..so maybe 17 and they were out egging houses, all girls..And she was driving while a friend was hanging out the window thorwing eggs (my gf not invlived) well she ended up rear ending her friend and totaled the benz..about 2 weeks later, she pulls up in a BRAND NEW LAND ROVER!!! Thanks mom and dad! WHAT IS WRONG WITH SOME PARENTS!!!
