Code 1316
Got a code P1316 "Injector drive module code detected". Tried to erase it and got a message "Erase Failed". I have also gotten a code something like "low injector pressure" or something like that in the past. Do these codes portel of an impending failure? I haven't been working much and do not need an expense right now. Is this kind of a nuisence thing or do I really need to pay attention to this? I don't want to hurt my treuck either. I make my living with it. Which way do I go?

What symptoms did you get with the codes? What are you using to pull codes? I've never heard of a can't clear codes message.
1316 is often a loose UVCH, so that's something worth checking that won't cost you a dime (but might end up costing you a couple of quarters
)

Sorry for the delay in getting b ack Chris. Took a long weekend over on the coast. There are no driveability issues. It runs smooth and strong, no missing and it starts right up. I have a Chraftsman OBD scanner. I don't think the inability to clear the codes is a problem with the truck, more than likely a problem with the tool.
