Fellas there are no studs for the 7.3 however call arp and order this part number so and so 34pcs it works fine and be done with it ......... Instead of ordering them and tacking on a hundred and passing them along come on know this is wrong.

I haven't seen you post the part # needed to get the ARP studs specific to the 7.3 IDI yet. How about helping out the "brotherhood" and do that instead of telling us who to talk to, since everyone that has done that gets the answer "We don't have a kit for that engine."?

I have to look at one thing, the only parts I bought off the shelf that were truely more than stock IDI parts were the Stage 1 injectors from DPS.

Everything else, made in a machine shop and pump shop either to or or by my specifications.

There are no aftermarket performance parts out there for the IDI off the shelf from anywhere except Typefour, Mel, DPS and Stan's Headers.

I sure am not going to cut the throat of anyone willing to put in the time to develop any IDI performance parts today since all the big companies dropped them years ago.
If everyone did that, in very short order we would be back to no performance parts at all, unless we all make our own parts.

I know how many setbacks I had with my engine till I got it right, so I can only imaging how may DPS and Mel had.

And for the record, Mel has come along since I built my engine, DPS was the only game in town at that time.

Ok then quit shopping everywhere. Dont buy anythingm at wal mart, kmart, or buy fuel anywhere. Because EVERYTHING has markup. If there wasn't why even have a business?
If your worried about the price then don't use it or buy it. Try opening a business and sell everything at cost and see how long you stay open!!!

if it is not personal then why go to diesel garage, FTE, TDS and OB with threads like this only attacking those two? they aren't the only ones who sell arp, injectors or pumps.

OK Brainiac, those are NOT in a kit for the IDI.... They are what Russ has been telling everyone to buy (from ARP) because they can fit, but are a little too long and care needs to be taken when installing. PLUS he has also posted the part #s for the nuts (both 6 and 12 point) and washers. If you order that part #, you'll get one stud, no washer or nut and it wil cost you about $9.00.

A thats ok and for those of you that think others are entightled to a profit and still buy your head studs from X for a hundred more. and you know what, you may say it but it wont happen but if you do pay that extra hundre cause you want to keep X in premium diesel ...... remember this saying A FOOL AND HIS MONEY ARE SOON DEPARTED....

Why not go after DPS, who's been ruining trucks for many years? Why go after the ones who actually help?
