I watched it last nite, just another show, Kobalt tool bike build, Thanksgiving dinner with 2 split families, Mikey on vacation, Jr announced his engagement. No goodbyes, nothing to indicate it was the end. Says to me they got canceled by the network all of a sudden.
Yes, TLC did suddenly pull the plug. May have to do with Sr suing Jr for 1 mil.

Talk about a disfunctional family.

Wink Good buy occ...

...I wonder if anyone still watched that show...sad really.

I enjoyed the episodes where the crew built scoots for charity & raised
funds for a GOOD cause...good stuff.

One show I remember in peticular was where they visited Kyle Petty at
Victory Junction, a NASCAR-themed, year-round camping facility that
serves children, ages 6 to 16, with chronic medical conditions or serious
illnesses.

That was a heartbraker...good stuff...good cause...

But I agree with most...Mikey will end most likely up a ward of the state...

Jr. will most likely end up parking cars somewhere and telling stories of "the good ol' days"...

And Sr. should just stick to what he knows...the steel buisness...oh yea!
...his SMART son bought him out...maybe he can get work drivin' a truck?

I still wish them all the best in this new year...

I always thought "grandma" was kinda kool tho...

Like watching a loooong trainwreck...I don't care for reality shows in general but this one needed to go a long time ago.

I was always always of the opinion that these guys just built fenders, gas tanks and handle bars, never built a frame or anything complicated. Maybe they could get jobs as apprentice to Jesse James!

"Grandma" is not even related. She's Sr's mom's best friend. Sr's mom passed as well as "grandma's" husband. So "grandma" married Sr's dad(if I remember the story correctly).

Let's hope this show focuses on the builds and not the drama.

I get that people watched AC for the drama, and the humor in that, but still had to have some interest in the show because of the bikes. Now if this new show can be about the bikes, those same people who watch the show can forgive not seeing the drama and watch the show for what it is: art in the bike world. I think that would garner more respect amongst the viewers who do watch it. Create a respectable niche, and you'll be respected by your peers.

i read that vinny and cody are working on a tv deal but want to concentrate on the technical stuff. it seems the shows that demo real body or mechanical work on an normal timeline don't get enough following to last. not exciting enough i guess.

The guy who was the fabricator (with the long beard) on Southern Iron died a few years ago. Mike the cad designer that was fired and the painter from Coddington's show still work for Foose.
Indian Larry also died when he fell off his bike.

I really like watching Norm Abrams "New Yankee Workshop". Someone in the metal shaping world should take a page from him, and enjoy a show on PBS for 30 or more years. Instead of displaying endless flannel shirts, the person could sport different welding caps each episode, lol.
