Vibration on 95 F-350

I have a 95' F-350 Powerstroke 5-speed and I am getting excessive
vibration at idle and it gets worse the higher the rpms get, by 2500 rpms
its pretty bad.

I do not know the shape of the clutch and throw-out bearing, but it is a
single mass flywheel.

At this point I am guessing it might be the pressure plate but I dont know for sure.

Any other ideas?

Thanks,

Does it vibrate at 2500rpm in every gear?

Have you pulled the clutch cover for a look yet?

Yes, it does vibrate in every gear.( the tranny feels good )
I have pulled the cover and dont see anything terribly obvious, but I did not
look real hard.

The flywheel or pressure plate are reasonable to suspect. I think the clutch is too light to cause such a vibration, but I suppose it's possible. I have this issue, too. I did a clutch rebuild last year and a new vibration cropped up. I even had the drive-line balanced by a reputable shop. This was a Luk SM clutch kit and the flywheel and pressure plate are both machined in China . Yes, I ponder their exacting standards.

Is their any difference when you press the clutch in or not? When you are moving or not?

I have a spare set, so I may have them machined (balanced) and swap em out. But I may not get to this project for a little while. My vibrations are not too severe. Just enough to irritate me.

The vibration is tied to the rpms, at idle it makes the dash rattle, and at 2500 rpm its kinda scarry. No difference if the clutch is in or out, moving or sitting still.

Thanks,

Thanks,
Sounds like you should tear it down before something flies apart. Since there are more pieces to a PP, that's probably it.
