Well I changed to the dark blue CPS.. With that and the pedal change I did notice a huge difference. It is a lot smoother now, but unfortunately the "miss" is still there..
So now I'm going to do the 50 cent UVCH and maybe do the fuel pickup mod as well.
Meant to say UVCH connection...hope that is it. Frustrating to keep replacing parts and not eliminating the actual miss but at least an improvement now. I need to get the 50 cent mod done as well.
ahhh, ok, wanted to make sure I wasn't thinking of another plug.
Let us know how your UVCH quarter mod turns out. while you're in there torque down your injectors and rocker arms. I don't know the torque specs, maybe someone can chime in what they are.

just checking to see if the 50 cent mod or fuel pick up was done and if that made the difference? Still surge and hesitating?

No it hasn't been done yet... I had something fall into my lap that I couldn't pass up and have been putting all my time and effort into that..
Basically when my ex left she took her bronco (I put a ridiculous amount of money into it when we were together) Well I chucked the bronco body off of the frame and put a 69 F250 body on it.. So that's been my project lately.. yay..
The Super Duty will get some time and attention here soon..
I may be a tard, cause i skipped ahead a few posts, but have you done the 50cent mod on your rig???...if not, that is exactly how mine acted when they popped loose...just throwing it out there...good luck...this is an old thread...hope you get it fixed soon...
David-
I can't help asking if you were throwing any codes or were able to check the ohms on your valve cover harness to see if they were out of spec. before doing the 50 cent mod?
I really need to look at the UVCH.. I'm just so involved with this 4x4 swap.. That and my R1 is needing a tire so 2 of my 3 vehicles are down..
And learning from the past.. I can only work on 1 vehicle at a time.. If I do multiple vehicles then I get frustrated, burnt out and end up selling one of them..
No update.. Haven't done anything... I don't really drive the stupid doody very often so it hasn't really been high on my list of things to do..
Though I got bored and started reading.. I'm wondering if I could be having a problem with the EBPV/EBPS maybe the tube is full of soot and making the EBPV valve stay closed when it's not supposed to...
Sorry everyone.. No update.. I've maybe put 400-500 miles on the truck.. Haven't done anything.. I just let it sit or the g/f takes it back and forth between my house and her house.. (1 1/2 miles between us)
I've just been so irritated with it and the lack of money that I've just been letting it sit.. I only have 2 years left till it's paid off.. (I hope it's fixed before then) Though worst case scenario is it sits until it's paid off and I can use the money I spend on a monthly payment to pay for a shop to figure out the problem and fix it.
