Cool looking truck, I just dont like those beds at all. Listen to numberdummy especially, and garbz2, cs65, they all have alot of knowledge about these trucks so try to have a level head when it comes to information on these trucks, they know what there talking about. You should have alot of fun in that truck I know I would, best of luck with your new toy.

irony is the use of words to convey something other than, and especially the opposite of the literal meaning of the words, to emphasize, aggrandize, or make light or a circumstance or subject. A common example of this use of irony is the scenario of a man staring out a window looking at a miserable rainy day and remarking, "lovely day for a walk." This remark is ironic because it expresses the opposite of the circumstances.
phew... i gotta sit down.

Are you saying this truck only has 39,951 miles?
On trucks of this vintage, the odometer reads to 99,999.9....then returns to ZERO.
So...it could have 139,951, 239,951, 339,951 miles...or who knows?
IMO, considering its condition (examples: look at the steering wheel, brake/clutch pedals, and what remains of the paint), this truck has well over 100,000 miles.
Used car dealers were in-famous for rolling odometers back for decades.
So...unless you know the truck's history from day one, who knows what the actual miles are?
1965: The 352 engine is supposed to be painted black with gold valve covers.
1966 was the first year FoMoCo painted engines...including the valve covers...Ford Corporate Blue.

67 up (sigh) manifolds are able to delete the heat riser and use a standard donut and flange to seal. 65 66 cannot do this as the mounting surface for the heat riser is flat machined.
So any light duty truck specific 67 up FE manifold will do no matter what the parts books say.
Uh huh...
So any light duty truck specific 67 up FE manifold will do no matter what the parts books say.

Who would know if the left exhaust manifold on a 40 something year old truck was the original?
I would...because I do have the parts catalogs.
C5TZ9431A .. Left Exhaust Manifold / MARKED: C5TE-9431-A or B
Original Applications: 1965/67 F100/350 352 / 1973/74 F100 360/390.
So...if a 1967 F100/350 352 (or 1973/74 F100 360/390) has its original exhaust manifold with its specific C5TE-9431-A or B ID engineering number marked on it...
It's the same exhaust manifold as 1965/66 F100/350 352.
Your info inre to the heat riser valve is also based on parted out trucks.
D3TZ9A427A .. Heat Riser Valve / D3TZ9A427A replaced C5TZ9A427D in January 1973.
Original applications: 1965/67 F100/350 352 and 1973/76 F100/350 360/390.

I paid about $2400 for my new 1965 F100 8' Styleside Standard Cab which came with the optional: Radio, Deluxe Heater, Borg Warner 3 Speed Overdrive, 352, Limited Slip (44), Cigarette Lighter, Western Jr. Mirrors, but...
I bought it for $50.00 over invoice, and this $2400.00 figure included a Fey Step Bumper and (aftermarket Climatic) A/C I had the dealer (Stockton Quincy Ford in Westwood [near UCLA]), I was then working for...install.
This truck had been ordered special, but not by me. The day before the new owner was to take delivery, he received a draft notice.
He canceled the order, the truck was then parked on the new car/truck storage lot for the next two months.
I went over there one day for some reason (don't recall what it was), saw the truck sitting there, bought it (trading in a 1960 Olds 88 HT).
When my dad (who was an Olds Dealer), came home that night, and saw it sitting in front of the house, he was not pleased.
"How the hell can you afford to make the $106.00 monthly payments on a monthly (gross) salary of $500.00?!"
He was amazed when I was able to pay it off within a year.
I augumented my monthly income (for over 30 years), by buy/selling old rolling piles of misery, obsolete parts, and "sporting goods."
1965 F100 available rear axles:
9" without Limited Slip (Standard Equipment).
Optional Spicer Dana 44 with Limited Slip.
If someone ordered the optional Limited Slip, Ford usually installed the Spicer-Dana 44, as the 9" was not available with Limited Slip in F100's until mid-year 1968.
Optional Spicer-Dana 60.2 with or without Limited Slip.
I do not know how many 1965 F100 4WD's were assembled, as Ford did not break down the production figures for each specific model in 1965.
178,581 F100 Stylesides were assembled, but...this figure includes both 2WD's & 4WD's, and all wheelbases.

The grease pencil marks were put there by inspectors on the assembly line. The numbers are specific to each inspector.
The dome lamp (C4TZ13783A lens, C4TZ13786A body & socket) is correct, but the section of the headliner it attaches to, is missing.
In fact, it appears that all four pieces of the headliner are missing.
The modification to the right fender inner apron: It could have been for an extra battery. Dual batteries were not offered by Ford on F100/350's until 1973.
The bracket/clamp mounted to the right side of the inner cowl near the air vent was prolly for a fire extinguisher.
C5TZ5560H .. Rear Spring -11 Leafs / 1950 lb. Load Rate / Optional on 1965 F100 4WD's.
The standard equipment rear springs on 1965 F100 4WD's had 7 leafs with a 1450 lb. load rate.
Johnnie Harper Ford was prolly the original selling dealer.
Ford issued a paperback booklet to every dealer every year, that contained a list of all the Ford & L/M dealerships within the District Sales Office.
This booklet also listed the address and phone number(s), the name of dealer principle, the names of the parts and service managers, and the fleet manager for each specific dealership.
The truck was ordered out of Denver, so...what I would do is...contact some of the dealers in the area, ask if they have heard of Johnnie Harper Ford.
