CHECK IT OUT!!
I thought the boxes were all the same .. my bad
The single wall bed is the same 61-3 on F100-250 ALL except integral bodied trucks. On the 65-6 trucks it was ONLY used on trucks with 4WD except the aforementioned 66 F100 4WD which uses the double wall bed.

DSO (District Service Order) is the last set of digits on the warranty plate by the first two digits it tells us where the truck was ordered from. if it has four more it was a special order for a total of six.

1965f100factory4X4:
The number of steering wheel spokes has nothing to do with it being a Custom Cab...or not.
Same THREE spoke steering wheels: 1961/65 F100/250 2WD / 1966/70 F100 4WD / 1967/70 F100/250 2WD / 1966/73 Bronco / 1960/63 Falcon/Comet.
Same FOUR spoke steering wheels: 1961/65 F100/250 4WD / 1961/70 F350 / 1966/70 F250 4WD.
1966: F100 4WD's have front coil springs, F250 4WD's have front leaf springs.
Whether a truck has a radio...or not has nothing to do with it being a Custom Cab.
Radio's were optional on all trucks thru 1979, whether it's a Standard or Custom Cab, Ranger, and this includes 1973/79 Ranger XLT's & 1977/79 Lariat's as well.
The side mouldings were an option on all 1965/66 F100/250 Standard and Custom Cabs. Standard equipment on Rangers only.
How did you decode your truck to prove it's a Custom Cab? The VIN does not have this info, only the BODY code does.
The only way to decode the BODY code is with the truck parts catalog.
"Squire" Don (camperspecial65) and I discussed this on the phone early this AM. He says it isn't, I'm not passing judgement until the data on the Warranty Plate is decoded.
btw: Since you're a newbie, you are unaware that:
I bought a 1965 F100 2WD Standard Cab (352/radio/deluxe heater/overdrive/western jr mirrors) BRAND NEW in March 1965, and sold it in November 2009.
So...I know these trucks better than just about anyone. Plus, I was a Ford partsman for 35 years (1962/97), and have been in the old rolling pile of miseries hobby for 54 years.
67 up manifolds are able to delete the heat riser and use a standard donut and flange to seal. 65 66 cannot do this as the mounting surface for the heat riser is flat machined.
So any light duty truck specific 67 up FE manifold will do no matter what the parts books say.
It is in the machining of the outlet where the differences lie. and they all dump in the same basic location for light duty trucks.
The exhaust heat risers were crap from day one. And are the first thigs thrown away.
