You need to tell us some more information, what year of truck and engine. Also when are you hearing this noise? While driving, truck at idle, ect...
The only box I can think of located near the brake pedal is the engine's electonic control module, but it has nothing inside that would make noise (its all electrical circuit board stuff).

richartdana44 has you off to a good start. Need more details about your Truck (year, model, engine) or even better a couple of photos of the part posted here will more than likely get you a solid answer very quickly.
For all anyone knows it could even be an aftermarket item that might never be zeroed in on and photos would help alot if it's not a standard item you're asking about.

yes it has one black and one white do i cut the wires and splice them together when i put in the new one.

The brake light switch, or more accurately Brake Pedal Position switch, on a 2003 has 5 wires going to it, not two.
