I have had problems with my truck stalling with a superchip plugged in when I take it out it runs fine. Anyone know the best way to clean the terminals off where the chip goes I have a TS chip but dont want to put it in till I get my injectors in I know the superchip is old but seems to work good when it is in and making contact I have cut the plastic away and taped it but it still does it......THANKS
I used my finger nail, scotch brite pad, and eventually a q-tip with acetone on it. My DP was doing the same thing so i thought something was wrong with the chip until other members urged me to do just what i listed, and now the chip works fine. Those terminals have to be super clean, just dont clean them to the point where you start to see the copper in the terminals.
I cleaned mine to where I *just* saw a little copper at the edges. I've been chipped for almost three years now and never had an issue. And I have my port completely open so I can remove the chip if I need to. Chip is nice & tight in there.
thanks for the tips guys i can start to see the copper and it is not super tight on there but no problems today with it I might try to tighten it up somehow
