I bought a used 2000 F-350 that supposedly has a SuperChip set to 60 over stock, and provides approx another 130 lbs. torque. I think that is a tow setting for that chip? I found the SuperChip programmer under the back seat when I brought the truck home.
I don't have any paper work for that chip and I'm not certain there is a chip or the stock chip is just reprogrammed with the SuperChip programmer? I have the original box the programmer came in.
Since it's a 2000 model I can't find any answers on the web. I'm sure if I contact support at SuperChip and try to ask info for a nine year old programmer that I didn't purchase,I'm sure they will blow me off.
I'm wondering how to use the programmer? I know it plugs in near the bottom of my dash (at least I think so) but then I don't know what to do from there. I don't want to screw up the truck computer brain?
I'm wondering what other settings might be in there? It also (the programmer) is supposed to be able to pull or read codes? I was wondering if someone ( I'm not holding my breath) would come along that knows these things and maybe point me to a down loadable instructions for this model of SuperChip? I've looked at the ones on line and they look really different.
I can post a picture of the programmer if that would help. Any input from folks that have one would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Hit me up Clay, I feel a lunch meeting coming on. This excuse works as good as another
I use the Superchips "Max Micro Tuner" in my 99. All you have to do is plug in to your port in the cab and follow the directions. Just make sure that you do not turn the key off after you start to load your program.
Yes, this does does read codes.
I hope this helps.

If I plug it in ....is it pretty much "stupid proof"? Does it show a menu or lead you through the steps? And I will repeat your warning to me...Just don't turn off the key while programming".
Begin with ignition off, press >
Then the display will read " Turn ignition on DO NOT START ENGINE". press > to continue.
Select tune or diagnostics and follow the step by step directions. When you are loading a program it can be pretty slow. It removes the current program to "make room" for your new program.
I have the book for the tuner. If you would like I'll mail you a copy
I just sent reps your way for above and beyond the call etc. I'm not sure what the year of my tuner is but I can't imagine they would change the inside even if the outside looks different?
To save mailing here is a thought. If you'd like copy and paste into an email and email me? I don't imagine there are too many pages. Might be allot simpler and easier? In any event I appreciate what your offering.
Egads, Clay you posted while I was answering your PM...tricky!!!
Even if I have the book , it sounds like I'd better have sombody more knowledgeable with me the first time. Also I'm sure this tuner was probably purchased by the PO shortly after he bought the truck. I really need to go and get it and see what the model number is. I suspect they updat the outside but the stuff to older trucks is probably the same parameters?
That's cool. Thanks for trying. I just put the copies in the mail
I can't rep you I'm in jail. But from the looks of the instructions you mailed it appears this is what I have been looking for! Thank you for helping me out. It's very appreciated! You Rock!
