Do yourself a favor, and check out Treadwright.com before you buy anything. I've used their tires since the mid 90's, and always will. My latest set was $409 to my door. PM me if you want any info on 'em.
Best Dura Trac quote is $730 and they will be what I get. Talked it over with two different tire shops today and it confirmed what I've heard here and read in online reviews.
Thanks to all who took part and the tips and advice.
I just wish these rating included mud & sand traction.
I picked the tires I have now based on best wet traction, hydroplaning resistance, and snow traction, since I knew the truck would spend most of it's time in these conditions.
I did look at multiple ratings, although I hadn't seen that particular one. I really chose the best tire for snow packed road conditions, because that's what I live around. I don't care about ride quality or noise because my driving is short trips around town, just not a big deal to me. Probably would have went in a different direction if I put a lot of miles on.
Realistically, I could own the truck/tires 10 years and have less then 20k on them.
General Grabber AT2's. They are awesome tires in snow and sand. I would take these tires over the BFG A/T any day of the week, bfg are way over priced in my opinion. Get the grabbers, you wont be dissapointed
I have seen great ratings on Grabbers, but not necessarily on hard packed snow. Plus, they don't have an aggressive enough look for me. Seem like the best bang for the buck out there though.
I've had the TV running while fiddling with my truck in the shop. And the obvious choice in tires has to be the BFG AT's because every vehicle in Jurassic Park has them. Or maybe that's why not to buy them, they're overpriced because they pay to get their products placed in movies.

I have heard nothing but good reviews about Treadwright. They are even mentioned in magazines. The guys on some of the Jeep forums also like them.
I got one of these in 31 10.50 for a matching spare tire. Its about half the price of my BFG. It looks nice. I can not vouch for tire wear or traction though.
If you run them blackwall out, it will be hard for anyone to tell the difference. If you get a set of 4 request matching sidewalls.

PS. don't pay to much attention to this post.
