Yes, the truck is the one under my name. Don't need anything to heavy duty for payload/towing, I don't to much of either. Seems most 31's are rated for 2380 or so, which will be good enough for my needs.
im a good year fan i have goodyear silent armer on my 05 f150 and the mtr kevler on my 92 there both fantasic the silent armere are an a/t tire and the m/tr and a mud rock tire both have great maners on and off road .if u mostly drive hard road i would highly recomand the silent armer u will love them sorry for the long post
I use the BFG AT good all around i only use em on the back tho cause the front end of mine eats them cause of the front suspension design (2wd) it works for me all around i just put the cap on and i can basically go anywhere i don't do serious off roading but do go off the beaten path at times and never let me down. has been great in all this snow we've been getting here lately been making it in to work and pulling people out and not had a problem with traction.
I vote for the BFG AT. Thats what I have. They are my favorite truck tire. I have run them for years and I don't have a problem with the front tires getting eaten up. If your truck is 4wd and will see alot of off road use then the MT might be a better choice.

I wonder if they changed something up front in years after mine then cause my ratio is 3:1 (3 fronts to one back) with them on the front but now i got GY's Tracker 2s on the front and it's about 1.5:1
I've got the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac's on my truck 33x12.50x15. Love them. They are smooth quiet and have an aggressive tread to them. Get excellent traction in the snow and mud. Paid $670 installed for them.
I'm leaning Duratrac or Coopers at this point. I know the Coopers are 700 and tax, but I'd have to drop the rims off and pick them up...something hard to do without a truck....since they won't mount 'oversized' tires on anything. More I read on the Duratracs, the more I like them. Seems like a good tire with an aggressive look.
Yes BFG is more expense but the BFG AT is an awesome all around tire with a fantastic tread life. Honestly though...depending on your needs, they're all good tires.
BFG's were my choice going in, but the more I think about it, the more I think it's best to choose the best snow type tire because I want my fiance to have no problems driving it. Thinking the Duratecs might be the better tire for that, but still haven't priced out the Duratecs's though.
Truck was supposed to be back from the body shop today, now it's early next week, so have a bit more time to research.
I personally think Dura Tracs are the best. Put them on my truck yesterday w/ some new wheels. I had BFG ATs before. Great tires but I wanted something more aggresive. Dura Tracs are rated great for rain/snow....and that's what I mainly use them for

See my album for pics.
Have a feeling you're right and probably what I'm going to buy. I'm used to newer vehicles with better braking systems. Not sure (since I haven't done much with my truck outside of buy it and drop it off for paint) if I need to work on the brakes or not, but noticed it locks up/slides way more easily then what I'm used too. Worry about the woman having issues because the city doesn't care about plowing our streets, and the intersections generally aren't the greatest.
Wanted Mud Terrains because they looked cool...but getting old and practical. Doesn't help I had a quote for new Mud Terrains installed for $800...oh well.
I was going to get the Trail Grapplers but they aren't siped and have a crappy snow/rain rating. The Dura Tracs look sweet and rate high across the board!

I have seen nothing but good reviews on the Duratracs. They weren't my first choice at all and I normally shy away from Good Years because I wasn't inspired by my first set of Wranglers. To be fair, they were on a CJ Jeep about 18 years ago now...lol
They caught my eye at the store but I didn't really look give them any consideration. It wasn't until 94Mustang mentioned the ratings that I took a closer look. Now I can't find anything bad about them and they are probably a bit cheaper then BFG's.
Liked your truck RAF, really like the blackwalls with the rims. Probably do the same since the script on the side in a white outline seems too distracting.
And thanks to all for the comments and ideas. I wasn't sure and the help is appreciated.
