Dave, I wasn't gonna buy a compression tester, I was talking about the fitting for the engine. Anyway, hopefully the rain holds off so I can get to work this weekend!!
Well, I made my own tool to put air pressure in the cylinders today. Put pressure on the drivers side front cylinder and what do ya know............BUBBLES!!!!! The second cylinder was leaking a little too. 3 and 4 both spun the engine around. I'm getting really good at working on this engine. Had the head off on about 20 minutes and found a bad gasket. I really wish I would have made that tool last week because it would have saved me a lot of headaches..........and $$$$$$$. Looks like I'll be putting it back together tomorrow and hopefully have it running in the afternoon. Thanks for all the help guys. I'll let ya's know how I make out.
Just an update. After replacing head gaskets on both sides, my truck is finally up and running.......after a lot of headaches!!!!! Thanks for any info you guys chipped in!!!!
