This is a great thread, this is kinda my goals as well, don't want to drag race my truck just for it to really get out of its own way when I need it too and towing is an important thing when deciding on injectors. I'm subscribing to this thread because my initial plan was to go hybrids but now hearing the SS stage 2's with my 38R is a great match, got me thinking now. By the way, with the mods in my sig, turbo, DP, JW VB and your supporting mods, no problem pulling steep or EGT's.
I'm thinking about dropping singleshot stage 1 or (but no bigger than) stage 2s into my 7.3 and then putting a turbo on...38 or h2e? My primary concern is EGTs...
I don't care about HP numbers or the dyno, really looking for a great DD that I can tow with and not worry about mountain passes. On inclines the Ex feels like it's loosing power and up-shifting to keep speed. I bought the truck with a Banks exhaust housing, intercooler (thanks Niel) and wheel in the turbo.
I'm not looking to make big HP numbers. I just want the truck to have enough power that it doesn't feel like it's struggling with itself.
Hoping to hear from the "did that" group...are injectors and a turbo the best way to go with this?
I hadn't noticed this thread til now, but am definitely subscribing. Curious to see which way you choose to go. (and hoping to see/help with the install!)
