Been using the Cherokee lately because it has a better heater ... Went out this afternoon to circulate the oil in the F250 ... Cranked and cranked on it ... Let it rest a bit ... Cranked some more ... Batteries started getting low so I recharged with the Jeep ... Started cranking a bit more and POW ... Out the tailpipe flew a rats nest ... Started right nice after that ... I gotta get some stacks ...
A few years ago a customer brought me an old 6.9 that he hadn't used in a few years to get running again. We got it freshened up and started it and it set and idled for at least 30 minutes before I took off for a road test and onlt went maybe 75 feet before it started running like crap, then took off and ran perfect. I came back and one of my hands said when it started missing he looked up and it shot a big rat out of the tailpipe and the rat was black from the exhaust but ran off . You would have thought the exhaust would have killed it as long as it had been running.
I've had 2 mice incidents: they chewed the spark plug wires up on my Mustang that was sitting in the driveway, then they got inside my F-150 & built a nest in the blower fan.
