crossover pipe? should I?

I just put headers on my 77 f250 with a 400. I ran my own exhaust, it is 2.5 inch pipe. Should I run a crossover pipe?

Personally i like the sound of true duals better, though a crossover pipe will help with low end torque, exhaust scavaging and mellowing out the exhaust tone, an "X" pipe will do those things far better than a "H" pipe will.

I guess I could make an x pipe, not a big deal. I run 1 foot glass packs and they are 3 inch through the middle so they are pretty loud, they could be toned down a little.

It can be very difficult to do on a 4x4 because the drive shaft is right where the "X" pipe needs to be for it to be effective.

I like a crossover just to tone down the pop and cackle you get from true duals.
