65 with inline six
The whole point of the split exh mnflds is to aid the engines ability to have less back pressure. This will increase your mpg. If you put in a crossover pipe in the exh. this will increase the back pressure.
I drive a '65 F-100 with a 240 CI 6. GREAT engine. It has the stock one port exh exit. I have bought a set of split exh mnflds. I am in the process of putting them on. I am doing this for better mpg. On mine each exh mnfld will have its own pipe. No crossover.
So, tell me if you would a little about your truck.
Are you going to do anything to aid the carb's pre heating of the gas? Does(did) your engine pre heat the gas with the factory exh mnfld? What year is your truck?

Mt truck is a 65
I installed hedders with flowmasters , Offenhauser aluminum intake, with a holley 390 cfm carb. I could instakk a carb baseplate under the intake and either pipe hot water through it..or tap into a couple of the hedders an use the exhaust gas to heat it but since i never opted to do that.
How does Ur truck sound with the headers now? I am going to give you my ph # so maybe you'd call me and let me listen to your set up? My # 828-280-4266, Thanks, Pete
