Clux, thats cause Super Duty guys are way to up tight about DP tuner.
I know its your forum sponsor, but man.
I swear, all SD guys ever say is how much other tuners suck and how great DP tuners are.
So any DP tuner threads like this are amusing to me.
I believe that DP makes a good tuner. Would I put one in my truck? Probably not, it does not fit the profile for what I want to do.
So, all in all, I think guys need to lighten up a bit on it.
Though, the thread title does suck. haha.

I have only heard this from people that don't like DP-TUNER. All I have heard when a thread comes up about tuners, is that, I have this tuner and I like it.

Edge, SC, BD, & Diablo are examples of Tuners the "suck"... 
And for the record, I never disconnect my batteries. Just make sure the keys are out and the PCM is powered down before messing with it. My cover is trimmed so I can remove the chip without pulling the PCM -- one reburn and I trimmed it so I no longer had to remove the PCM.

Well I got my DP F6 last week and installed it the day I got it. I followed all of the directions exactly as written and got it in fairly easily. I was about 99% sure I cleaned the ports well enough, as the directions state, but when I got everything put in and back together, I put the key in turned it half way and everything was normal, dash lights were on, DP switcher light on, but when i turn the key everything shuts off and I hear a continual clicking noise under the hood. I had to go on a trip this weekend and got back tonight and figured id give it another shot at cleaning the ports. I got everything out, cleaned it again, once again being 99% sure itd work this time, and the same thing happened again. Im hoping I didnt fry anything. I never had any static sparks or anything else that would concern me happen. Does anyone know what else could be wrong? Im gonna call DP tomorrow and try to get things worked out. Thanks.

Please post some post where most of the SD guys say this. I have never said this and don't remember anyone on here saying that other tuners suck. But, as the other guy posted all the sucky tuners. haha. =)
I hate it when i hear ford people putting banks tuners on their truck too. makes me wanna throw up.

Ya, it was a crappy title for the thread. But reading the original post, I don't take it as him bashing DP at all. Just that it's not working and he needs help. Hopefully it's a simple fix like charging the batteries.

Everyone on this forum gets butthurt over the littlest things. The guy's title is most likely sarcastic. Or maybe he's trying to get some posts in it to figure out WTF is wrong and the a way to get posts quick in your thread is to put a tuner name or windowed block in your title.
If you ignore the tuner addition and look a the continuous ticking under the hood mention, that's classic weak battery symptoms. It's been mentioned to charge the batteries and try again. Let it play out.

I'd say the OP's problem is with the batteries. There is nothing involved in the installation of a chip that would prevent the truck from turning over, except perhaps leaving the door opened too long to drain the weak batteries. I hope to hear what he finds out.
As for a pissin' match between chips/tuners, it seems to me that there are 4 chips/tuners that folks on here like. DP is one of them. While there are a few exceptions, most of the guys on here respect all 4. I also think it's fair to note that the number one supplier of chips to folks on this board is more likely to get a little more negative feedback simply because they have more customers. You can't please all the people all the time. I believe that all complaints need to be dealt with in private between customer and company.
As for a pissin' match between chips/tuners, it seems to me that there are 4 chips/tuners that folks on here like. DP is one of them. To the contrary, I believe these boards are a great place to find help for problems, as long as it doesn't degenerate to personal attacks like we have seen against, oh say Gale Banks and more recently, others...................
