Each page is configured independently and can have different signals assigned. The arrows you see at the bottom of the pic scrolls between the pages. Only the signals on the active page are being polled.
Thanks for clarifying this for me. Looks like a good system.

I don't know how the Ex is setup from the factory, but the 99-01 trucks don't have an OEM temp sensor in the trans. The 02-03 have some kind of a sensor that runs the factory trans temp gauge, which is really not much of a gauge at all.

I am able to read TFT through the PCM without issue on my 01. I have not added any extra sensors other than the EGT.

Sensor is fine and reads linar, the PCM is the part that dumbs it down...

The Scan Gauge WILL read trans temps. It has in every truck I've seen them in. The coolant temp is bogus in all autos.

Yeah; that '02-up "gauge" is more like the "idiot-light with a needle" used on earlier Ford oil-gauges.

But my Scangauge indicates a temperature for my E4OD that pretty much accords with what I would expect tranny-temps to be in my driving conditions.

The coolant-temp gauge feature reads inaccurate below 180ºF, but from there up it seems to be indicative of what engine-temps would be under given conditions (~198ºF in below-freezing driving conditions when warmed up, ~203ºF-209ºF at sustained highway speeds in hot weather)

I'd really love a guage-system that integrated into a double-DIN stereo face that also gave me control over my DP-Tuner switch, as well as iPod control and MP3 capabilities.

Even with the current Scangauge, however, I'm happy; I have the top constant readout indicating EGT (addtional sensor feeding one of the analog inputs), and the bottom cycling through oil, tranny and coolant temps, with boost-level thrown in.

Don't rely on that coolant temp reading -- I'm telling you, it's completely bogus. Oil temp is all you need, unless you just *want* to see your coolant temp. Then you'll need a separate sensor wired into one of the analog inputs on the gauge.

The sensor in the trans is good. It tracks my separate temp gauge within 5 degrees or so.

FYI...

You have a 4R100 not a E4od...

Joe, tell me on a pre 02 truck with no factory temp gauge and no aftermarket sending unit how the Scangauge can read trans temp?

There is a sender in the Valve body... I can read it on my 01... PCM use's it for shifting when cold.

What the other Joe said. But I think it's in the solenoid pack.

Greg (gbroehl1),

I copied some of your pics & posts onto a thread on PSN. Hope you don't mind - there are a few folks over there who are interested in your experience with it in a 7.3L.

This is really making me want to buy one!
