I would have to sat AE for me since I have more than one vehicle (3) and possibly/probably in the not so distant future this truck won't be one of them so the other stuff would be wasted money

Ok, the video and mp3 player are a little lacking as they only got added during the last software update. Due to cpu limitations of the device it can't handle much beyond 10 fps, so any video you would want to watch would need to be altered ahead of time down to this level. The music works well but it only plays one song at a time so far. I can't see this part as being a big hurdle though and hope they have it fixed to support either continuous play or perhaps playlists.

I also purchased the GPS with mine and although its no $500 GPS, it works really well for the $100 addon that it is. The GPS and gauges are exclusive though, you can only run one of them at a time.

That right there puts it out for me. I use my GPS all the time, and don't want to sacrifice truck monitoring for getting directions. LOL

If they're all Ford, then you're good, Ray.

Yeah, but the GPS is an option that ya don't have to get. I already had GPS built into my car so I figured for $100 I would get one that is portable when needed.

True. I use my phone for that anyway. Maps are continuously updated (it downloads maps real-time as needed), plus I get live traffic info and re-routing when needed. Pretty handy.

Pricey though. For that, you can just about get both AE *and* the SG...

Ditto on the phone, but I am too cheap to get a fancy phone like that though . All my spare money goes to my truck or house these days.

AE is great but most people are not willing to bolt even a small laptop to their dash SG is also a great product but you are limited to watching 2 things at a time. With my DD I watch boost, EGT, TFT, EOT, HPOP pressure, ICPDC, and voltage all on the same customized screen. I could watch more or less, plus get the data logging, plus get things like a dyno tool that essentially replaces the need to pay for a dyno run.

Nope -- you can auto-cycle through 8 different things...

Have a look:

I hear you Joe, but sounds like with Greg's setup he does not have to wait while it cycles through - all there at once.

Greg, I saw the option for an EGT probe add on....is that what you did?

Correct.

I'm leaving work now so I will post up the data and some pics in an hour or so.

That's true -- and is why I have dedicated gauges for fast acting stuff. Bottom line is if you want to see everything you need on one gauge, this is it. Things like Pyro, Boost, Fuel Pressure, etc, need dedicated gauges. I watch battery V & EOT, full time until it's warm. Then I switch to something else if I want. I don't always need to see HPOP pressure, DC, etc, but I do look at it now & then. When I swapped injectors, it was VERY handy to see where the HPOP pressure was as the air was purged. As it slowly built up, the second it got to 500psi, the truck started. Took 2 or 3 5-10 second cranks to get it there.

Yep, I wouldn't remove the 5 gauges I have now either........but I do like the look of this box and some of the options.

Here are a couple of pics:

This was from prior to my EGT install so you will have to use your imagination on the far right large gauge.

This is the install in my truck.

The only other change I have added since these pics was a GPR light next to the voltage. Its totally customizable and although I have tried to replicate my 2001 dash, I could make them look like anything.

let me see if I understand correctly. You are able to put the GPR light on the monitor also?
