Hopefully it works for IE users *shrugs*
anyways.
if you notice, the first 2 links are about Conductive grease.
but it will say "conductive and thermal" grease.
There is a difference between the 2. In computers, you use a lot of thermal paste, or thermal grease. You dont want to buy this stuff for electrical connections. While it would work, a tube of silver thermal grease is like 15 dollars, and it makes a huge f-off style mess if you use too much, or get it on your hands, or on something you touch all the time.
Anyways. FRYS.com | MG Chemicals
Frys has good stuff.
This is a Conductive grease made from silver. It will conduct really well.
Its not a "thermal compound" but you can use it as one.
Silver is really good at transferring heat as well as electrical current.
It wont corrode either.
And just to throw it in there. silver is a sterile metal. Copper is, but not as much as silver, copper is more icky resistant.
Anyways.
The thing I don't know about conductive grease is how much cross talk it would make between the pins on the sensor.
That, and I dont know what kinda pin setup the CMP's have.
if they are needle style, like male into female pins. then you woudln't have to worry. Just enough to lubricate the surface.
Conductive grease will prevent corrosion and aid in a good connection.
Here is some carbon based conductive grease.
If you pull off your steering wheel. you will have the 3 pin ring behind there with grease in it, that's carbon based conductive grease.
guys it turns out that ford does sell this sensor that i got from IH. i went pickin' around and found it at the ford dealership. all i did was ask for a CPS for a '95 psd. same exact sensor. has the same part number up by the plug. same length, diameter, color, o-ring, everything. silver pins. i thought the early trucks had gold pins?? maybe i'm thinking backwards. i was just up there comparing sensors and saw the one for the '95 looked like the C91 I got from IH. so i bought it, went to IH and compared the ford one to the IH one. they are the exact same sensor and part #s so if its easier then go to IH and get one for a '95. i will post the ford part # later tonight or tomorrow along with some pics just to show that they are the same. crazy.. haha
oh man that kinda ruins the excitment i was all thinking this was some bad *** sensor that only international was selling how long has it been on the market?

i had to find my receipt. normal cost is $35 at Ford and i get 30% off of that so i paid $24 with tax. either way y'all get it i'm still very very happy with this thing. like the other grey CPS isn't even comparable to this thing. that grey CPS just sux largely. when i switch my dads original black one out to a grey his mileage dropped from 18mpg to 13mpg and sometimes as low as 12mpg EMPTY.. thats about to come back up when i throw this sensor in there.
I just went down the street to my local int'l dealer and picked up the new dark gray 1876736C91 for $28. Here are some pics that I took. No calipers so I cant get you a measurement. I have yet to put it in so im not sure if it will work in my 97 F350.
I took out a black one and put in the dark gray CPS. It still idles too high sometimes but so far I havent noticed it lopeing like it used to. But that is only after a few miles of driving.
BTW, I have a Cali truck converted to single shot injectors and running a DPtuner. I got the DPtuner because I could not find a split shot rebuild kit with plungers. That is why I had to put the DPtuner in, so that it would run better with single shots.
Anyway, so far it seems to run a little better and now I have 2 spare CPS's.

Did you ask about one?
I only know of one place that sells them and I can create a custom package for pretty much anything.
