transmission shifting problems

2007 F250 6.0 4x4. When shifting from park to drive or reverse it takes 3 or 4 seconds to engage. Erratic shifting between 2,3,4 while accelerating and slowing down. I have done some searching on the site but can't match the exact problem. From what I have read I think maybe shift solenoid or could it be something worse? I haven't had any codes pop up either. Thanks in advance for any help.

My guess is that it's either low on fluid or something internal is seriously wrong...If you're under 60K, take it into the Ford Shop and it should be covered under warranty.

fluid is at normal level, just turned 63000.....

yeah don't scare me off

i fixed the other problem myself, EGR!!!!! I hope i don't have to take it somewhere this time. Stealerships suck.
