Has any1 had any problems shifting from park? On a few occastions when I am in park and then try to shift out of park it gets stuck. Obviously I am depressing the brake and the shift lever, but it just wont move.
After a few attempts it allows me to shift like nothing happened.
Any1 else experience this problem?
I have a 2004 FX4 screw.
Very strange. Does it get stuck in between Park and Reverse or just won't budge out of park? Almost sounds like something is not registering to the computer from pressing the brake pedal? This sounds like a trip to the dealer so far.

Taking it to the dealer won't do any good, unless they are able to duplicate the issue. Good luck with that as they are never able to get it to happen.
What do you do to get it to eventually shift from park? Anything different than before?
Are you parked on an incline when this happens or on level ground?
mine does that sometimes. i was really driving me nuts for a while till i figured out it was me. i was jumping in the truck and attempting to shift to quick. i was kinda hitting the brake and shifting at the same time and it doesn't work. if you are just a little quicker with the shifter than you are with the brake it locks you out and no matter how hard you press the brake or pull on that shifter it still won't release. you have to fully release the brake and the shifter, give it a few seconds and start over (if you repeat to quick it keeps you locked out). see if that works for ya before you make a trip to the dealer.
Probably the "brake shift interlock"
have a friend make sure your brake lights are coming on when you step on the brake. If they are or are not, check to make sure that the brake light switch is fully connected and is being actuated by pressing the brake pedal. You may be better off taking this in.

mine did that a few times . push the shifter all the way forward first, then try to shift it into gear as normal. sometimes mine didnt click all the way in place.

All you are doing is stepping on the brake later than you think, but since your already got the column shifter in your hand the BOO switch cant release the shifter.
When you step on the brake do you hear a cliking sound? It makes a light cliking sound when you depress the brake and you should feel it in the handle as well. If it's not doing that then it sounds like a selenoid problem.
Yea the problem is getting worse now. At first it happened maybe once every week or so. Now its everyday. Im gonna get it checked out next time I go in for a oil change. Not sure how many others here are having the same problem, but ill keep you guys posted on what the dealer says. Thanks for all the suggestions.
