AOD shift problem

AOD shift problem
I just finished installing a Transgo SK-AOD shift kit in my bronco. The directions where very unclear about some things, like the diagram for the check *****, next to # 7 it said (no ball) I left it out. For the first 10-15 miles it shifted better then any AOD I have driven but now it wont shift from 2nd to 3rd or 4th, if I drop it into neutral at 30-50mph then back in to drive it will shift into 3rd then into 4th normally. I guess it's a stuck valve somewhere but I would like to know for sure before I drop the pan again. Also there is no 4th accumulator, there is hole for one but it doesn't look there has ever been one there, is this a problem?

Well, I think I found the problem, the snap ring that retains the 3rd accumulator cover had slipped out of its grove. Now it shifts into all gears, but the 2nd-3rd shift is kinda soft like I can't even feel it. 1st-2nd and 3rd-4th are nice and firm. Do you think I messed up the direct clutches driving it 20-30 miles with the lose accumulator?
